Terms and limits
Plain language, short. By creating an endpoint or paying for a call you agree to the following.
What Nanotoll is
Nanotoll is non-custodial software. It forwards HTTP requests to a seller's origin after verifying, on Solana, that the buyer paid the seller in USDC. Payments move directly from the buyer's wallet to the seller's wallet. Nanotoll never holds, routes or controls funds, and charges no fee.
Sellers
- You are solely responsible for the content you proxy and its legality, including rights to resell it and any terms of the origin service.
- The origin URL and optional header are encrypted inside the endpoint token and are not shown to buyers. Anyone who pays does receive whatever the origin returns.
- You cannot change the price or revoke an endpoint in v1. Create a new endpoint instead. Operators can block endpoints and origin hosts.
- Your endpoint list lives in your browser's storage. If you clear it without exporting, the list is gone (endpoints keep working).
Buyers
- Every paid call is final. There are no refunds, escrow or disputes in v1.
- You pay after receiving the 402, and the origin may still fail or return an error. In that case you receive the origin's error or a 502 with your payment receipt, but no refund.
- Check the price and payee shown before you sign. A signed and confirmed transaction cannot be reversed.
Limits
- Replay protection is best-effort. A payment is bound to one request and expires after 120 seconds. Within that window, an identical request may be served again on a different server instance.
- GET and POST only, request bodies up to 1 MB, origin timeout 10 seconds, at most 3 redirects.
- Origins on private, loopback, link-local, carrier-grade NAT or cloud-metadata addresses are refused.
- Per-IP rate limits apply: 10 endpoint creations, 120 payment challenges and 30 payment verifications per minute. Each challenge can be verified at most 5 times.
- The dashboard reads at most the last 1,000 transactions of your USDC account from public Solana RPC, which may be rate-limited.
- The 402 response is x402-style. It is not an x402 facilitator and is not guaranteed to work with every x402 client. Nanotoll is not affiliated with or endorsed by Coinbase, Circle, the Solana Foundation or the x402 project.
Networks
Each deployment runs on one Solana network, shown in the banner at the top of every page. This deployment runs on mainnet: payments use real USDC.
No token
There is no NTOLL token in v1. Nothing in the product requires, uses or rewards one, and nothing here is an investment.
No warranty
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for lost funds, failed calls, origin content, downtime, or bugs. The code has not been audited. Use small amounts.
